The Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program has been ranked the #1 PTA program in the nation by CollegeFactual.com for the third consecutive year.
In short, a DPT accelerated program is a doctoral level physical therapy school that enables students to complete their DPT degree in 24 months, or two years total. This includes clinical rotations and all licensure preparation to take the NPTE.
The average length of a PTA program is typically two years (five semesters). Primary content areas in the curriculum may include, but are not limited to anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, neuroscience, clinical pathology, behavioral sciences, communication, and ethics/values.
Most DPT programs require applicants to earn a bachelors degree prior to admission. Other programs offer a 3+3 curricular format in which three years of specific preprofessional (undergraduate/pre-PT) courses must be taken before the student can advance into a three-year professional DPT program.
Completed all General education prerequisites courses, including: BIO 110 or BIO 113, BIO 245, BIO 246, ENG 101, ENG 102, PSY 100, PSY 218, and Humanities and Fine Arts 3 course credit electives with a grade of C or better.
