The Sema4 test is billed to all types of private insurance with the majority of private insurance plans providing coverage for it. If you have any type of insurance, your out of pocket cost will be whatever your insurance leaves to your deductible and/or out of pocket amount.
How much does genetic testing cost? The fee is $1000 +hst which includes consultation, genetic testing and follow-up appointment.
The cash pay price is $249. You must reply to the email to let Sema4 know whether you want your insurance billed, whether you want to self-pay the test or if you want to cancel the test.
Sema4 283 gene Expanded Carrier Screen unless otherwise indicated. Does not include review of family history. Consult fee includes brief pre- and post- test check-in with patient.
