4-H is a youth development program where adult volunteers provide positive, hands-on, fun and educational opportunities with youth age 5 to 19. This can take place in many different settings such as project clubs, community clubs, after school programs, camps, workshop or events.

Cost time commitment. Getting involved with 4‑H is easy and costs are kept to a minimum. Unlike other youth organizations, 4‑H doesnt require a uniform and there are no national fees. Children select their 4‑H education project so they can choose one that works well within a familys budget.
Who can join 4-H? Any youth, 5 years old and in kindergarten through 19 years of age, may participate in the 4-H Program.
4-H is an educational program for youth 5 to less than 19 years of age. It is conducted through volunteer 4-H leaders who are supported by WSU Extension Educators who help lead 4-H projects and activities.
