The Office of Admission offers one-hour tours for high school groups of up to 40 students, accompanied by a maximum of 5 chaperones. Group tours are scheduled on select weekdays at 11 a.m. The Rice Welcome Center offers special group tours for middle school students, community organizations and international visitors.
Campus Tours Whether you walk the campus on your own to admire Rices unique architecture or come with a group and follow a student guide, a Rice campus tour is a memorable experience. For prospective visitors, several options are available: Elementary, middle schools and community groups.
Join us for a tour of Rice University! Learn more about our academics, traditions and community on this one-hour tour led by a current student. Tours are offered Monday and Friday at 9 a.m., Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.

The closest route to Rice is a lovely dirt campus loop around the entire campus that comes out to ~3 miles.
