What are the requirements needed for OFA testing?

OFA Testing Bring your dogs AKC registration and completed OFA forms to your appointment. After the radiographs are done, the forms are signed by the owner of the dog and the attending veterinarian. We submit the radiographs and forms electronically to OFA.

How do I submit an OFA application?

Submission of OFA Radiographs and Applications via Email (Email to: applications@offa.org) Emails with digital submissions are ONLY accepted from veterinary clinics that have registered for this service.

How do I get my dogs hips certified?

OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) Certification: We can x-ray your dogs hips for hip dysplasia at 2 years of age. We will forward these radiographs to the OFA, where board-certified radiologists will evaluate and grade your dogs hips for OFA certification.

How do I get OFA certification?

Companion animals are examined by a veterinary professional and those results are submitted via an application form to us. OFA will assign a certification code based on the screening results and issue a certificate to the owner.

How much is a OFA test?

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) now provides the official certification and thus, the exams are now referred to OFA exams. The fee for an in-clinic OFA exam is $81 per dog. Depending on the breed, we can see a limited amount of dogs in-clinic.
