(a)(1) Antique motor car means any motor vehicle that is more than twenty-five (25) years old. Unless fully inspected and meeting inspection requirements, the vehicle may be maintained solely for use in exhibitions, club activities, parades, and other functions of public interest.
When purchased new from a dealer, a vehicle requires inspection within two years and before the odometer reaches 24,000 miles (whichever comes first). Are old vehicles exempt? Age: Motor vehicles 25 years old or older must undergo inspection for safety and emissions.
