The purpose of this regulation is to provide standards in the conduct, practices, and operations of a pharmacy preparing and dispensing products requiring sterility, such as injectables, ophthalmics, and inhalants.

The pharmacist in charge shall be on duty in the pharmacy: (1) a minimum of fifty (50) percent of the pharmacy hours for pharmacies open 64 hours per week or less, or (2) at least thirty-two (32) hours per week for pharmacies open more than sixty-four (64) hours per week.
Schedule IV includes drugs such as tramadol, diazepam, and barbital. Schedule V includes drugs such as ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and cough medicines containing codeine. Schedule VI includes drugs such as marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, and salvia divinorum.
