February 28, 1929 The act divided the Eighth Circuit into two circuits, reorganizing the judicial districts of Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota as a new Eighth Circuit and Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming as the Tenth Circuit.
The territorial jurisdiction of the Tenth Circuit includes the six states of Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, plus those portions of the Yellowstone National Park extending into Montana and Idaho. The Clerk of the Tenth Circuit is Christopher M. Wolpert.
The Kansas Tenth Judicial District is a district court in Kansas with jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases in Johnson County.
