You can make an EC claim through Portico (Navigate to the MyStudies tab and click on My Extenuating Circumstances). You will be asked to submit evidence. All EC claims should be submitted as soon as possible, and no more than one week (five working days) after the first affected assessment.

Your evidence should describe your illness, injury or medical treatment and the likely impact it has on your ability to prepare for and/or undertake your assessment. It must state the time and duration of your circumstances and include a clear medical opinion.
Extenuating Circumstances claims should be submitted as soon as possible, and normally no more than one week after the first affected assessment. Your Department or Faculty EC Panel will assess your claim and agree the appropriate mitigation.
