Completion of 24 semester college-level credit hours (or equivalent trimester or quarter credit hours) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students seeking an Associate of Applied Science, Bachelors of Applied Science or Certificate are not eligible as the scholarship is limited to college-level courses.

The Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship Financial Assistance awards scholarships to students from the Navajo Nation. They offer a large number of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. This includes both need-based and merit-based awards.
The American Indian Services Scholarship awards undergraduate students from the Navajo Nation. The scholarship awards students between $500 to $2,000. Students must study at a university, college, junior college or technical school. They must be at least one-quarter Northern-Native American Indian.
Students who are more than 1/4 Indian blood should be eligible for Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) scholarships. BIA/OIEP funds may only be awarded to a person who is a member of a federally recognized Native American tribe.
