The military medical facilities transfer the DMFs to the NPRC, generally 1-5 years after last treatment. If possible, contact the last medical treatment facility to determine if records have been retired to the NPRC before sending a request.

All visitors must have a visitor pass. Visitor passes can be obtained at the Visitor Control Center (VCC) just after the Tripler Army Medical Center gate on the right during operational hours. During non-operational hours all visitor passes can be obtained from the Fort Shafter VCC.
