The Activity Measure for Post-Acute Care (AM-PAC) 6-Clicks Inpatient Short Forms are multidimensional measures that use 6 questions to assess functional outcomes of patients in post-acute care settings.
A click or more appropriately klick is the slang or short term for one kilometer. Five klicks is five kilometers, etc. The military uses metric measurements for maps and distances.
The 6-Clicks tool is a 6-item scale, with each item representing a basic mobility task scored from 1 (total assist) to 4 (independent). The total scale is scored from 6 to 24, with lower numbers indicating lower functional ability.
The average total AMPAC score for the SNF and AO cohorts at 24.21 (standard deviation of 5.37) and 26.47 (standard deviation of 6.97) respectively, were similar.
Known as 6-Clicks due to being composed of six scored patient activity questions, a patients 6-Clicks score falls on a 6- to 24-point scale where a score of 6 represents total functional impairment and a score of 24 represents total absence of impairment.
