Once you have been diagnosed with a condition and given a T3 profile, the condition must also have reached its Medical Retention Determination Point, or MRDP. Generally, the MRDP is twelve months from diagnosis. However, there are cases when it can be longer or shorter.
If no date is specified, the profile will automatically expire at the end of 30 days from issuance of the profile. In no case will Soldiers carry a temporary profile which has been extended for more than 12 months.
