The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. It gives you the chance to show that you are a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving your community.
The minimum time for earning your Silver Award is 50 hours. Keep a record of the time you spend working on your project.
You can become a Silver Award Girl Scout if you: are in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade. are a registered Girl Scout Cadette. have completed a Cadette Journey.
Girls who did not earn the Bronze Award can go on to earn the Silver Award. Girls who did not earn the Silver Award can go on to earn the Gold Award. Girls who earn the Silver do have the added advantage of dropping one of the required Journeys for the Gold Award.
Once your Troop Leader has approved your project to start, you can begin enacting your plan. The Girl Scout Silver Award takes a minimum of 50 hours of work per team member. Once your project is complete, submit your Final to the Council via the Silver Award Final Report submission form.

Steps to Become a Silver Award Girl Scout. Complete a Cadette Journey (including the Take Action Project at the end). Complete the Silver Award training with your Troop or individually with an adult (each team member and their Troop Leader is required to take the training before starting a project).
