VET TEC is an acronym for Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses. This is a program offered under the direction of the Veterans Administration that will pay for Veterans to get training in technology jobs without consuming their GI Bill benefits.
Veterinary technicians must complete a two-year associates degree to sit for their credentialing exam, and veterinary technologists must complete a four-year bachelors degree. Whether its a community college, tech school, university, or specialty school, be sure to choose an accredited program.
If you attend your training program in person, your housing stipend will be equal to the monthly military Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for an E-5 with dependents. This is based on the postal code where you attend your training.
