Pharmacare is a drug benefit program for eligible Manitobans, regardless of disease or age, whose income is seriously affected by high prescription drug costs. Pharmacare coverage is based on both your total family income and the amount you pay for eligible prescription drugs.
The minimum deductible for Pharmacare is $100. Once the deductible is met, Pharmacare will pay 100% of eligible expenses. Impact: Private plans that cover all of their plan members deductible can expect increased costs for 2022-2023.
An eligible drug is one that is covered by Pharmacare. Not all drugs are eligible. To determine if a drug is eligible for coverage under Pharmacare, please ask a pharmacist or doctor, visit the online Drug Formulary Look Up or contact the Pharmacare office directly at 204-786-7141 or toll free at 1-800-297-8099.

Recipients of B.C. Income Assistance (Plan C) This plan provides 100% coverage of eligible prescription costs for B.C. residents receiving medical benefits and income assistance through the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation.
