Look Up License Plates in Missouri If you want to find an available license plate number, you can use FindByPlate to search in your state. You can also search a vehicles history if you know the license plate and the state the vehicle is registered in.
Were talking about the Land Transportation Offices SMS service that allows the public to access official information about a certain motor vehicle. All you have to do is text LTO VEHICLE (PLATE NUMBER) to 2600, and then sit back and relax while LTOs data computers go to work.
It was only later that someone informed me that this is a very common identity theft scam. If someone gets your license, IF they can also find your SSN, they can open all kinds of accounts in your name and even take out loans that will affect your credit score. So never let anyone get ahold of your license.

As soon as you establish residency in Missouri, you must apply and pay for a Missouri driver license at a Missouri license office. You may surrender a valid current driver license (or one that is expired 184 days or less) from another U.S. state to the state of Missouri to waive your Missouri skills and written tests.
The state doesnt currently offer this service. You will need to go to your local DMV and renew in person. Missouri requires its licensed drivers to pass an eye test and a road signs test at each renewal period.
Missouri Resident Titling Requirements If you do not title the vehicle within 30 days, there is a title penalty of $25 on the 31st day after purchase. The penalty increases another $25 for every 30 days you are late with a maximum penalty of $200.
NOTE: A $5 renewal penalty will be charged if you renew your plates after the expiration date.
Please contact the Department of Revenue at 573-526-3669, Option 3, for further information regarding obtaining motor vehicle records.
