Any FAFSA corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 10, 2022.
The FAFSA form asks for income and taxes paid according to lines on the IRS tax forms for 2020, the \u201cbase year\u201d for 2022\u20132023. Data from the completed tax year is used as a predictor of the family's financial situation for the current year.
