Definition of Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) A HUB is a business that is formed for the purpose of making a profit and that is otherwise a legally recognized business organization under the laws of Texas.
You may register your business as a SDB if you meet the following criteria: The firm must be 51% or more owned and controlled by one or more disadvantaged persons. The disadvantaged person or persons must be socially disadvantaged and economically disadvantaged. The firm must be small, according to SBAs size standards. The HUB Directory, is a list of all active HUBs certified through the Statewide HUB Program or any of its MOAs. The Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL) is a list of any business interested in doing business with the state of Texas and does not have to be based in Texas. CMBL registration requires a $70 annual fee.
