  1. Click ‘Get Form’ to open the EOIR form in the editor.
  2. Begin by selecting one of the appeal options. Indicate whether you are appealing a decision from a USCIS officer or another type of DHS decision. Fill in the required fields such as the name of the beneficiary and their A-number if applicable.
  3. In the next section, provide details about the DHS officer's decision you are appealing, including their title and the date of the decision. This information is crucial for processing your appeal.
  4. Clearly specify your reasons for appealing. If necessary, continue on separate sheets. Ensure that your reasoning is detailed to avoid summary dismissal of your appeal.
  5. Indicate whether you desire an oral argument before the Board and if you plan to file a separate written brief after submitting this notice.
  6. Finally, sign and date the form, ensuring all personal information is accurate before submission.

After the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) charges a foreign born individual, an alien, with violating immigration laws, EOIR decides whether that individual is removable from the country and if found removable, whether they qualify for protection or relief from removal.
The primary mission of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) is to adjudicate immigration cases by fairly, expeditiously, and uniformly interpreting and administering the Nations immigration laws.
The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) administers the nations immigration court system. Immigration court hearings are civil administrative proceedings that involve foreign-born individuals (called respondents) whom the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has charged with violating immigration law.
EOIR itself has two members of its leadership team: a director, who is appointed by the Attorney General, and a deputy director who may exercise the full authority of the director. The current director is David L. Neal, and the current deputy director is Charles Adkins-Blanch.
