If you include a quotation in the title of your paper, you should discuss the quotation in the body of your essay. Do not place a parenthetical citation or an endnote with source information after the title. Instead, cite the quotation where it occurs in your essay.
In the Footnotes group, click the small icon at the bottom-right. In the resulting Footnote and Endnote dialog box, click the Endnotes option. Choose End of Section from the Endnotes dropdown list. Click Apply.
At the bottom of a page, right-click the footnote text area, click Note Options, and then click Convert. Finally, click Convert all footnotes to endnotes. To convert one footnote to an endnote: At the bottom of the page, right-click the text of a footnote, and then click Convert to Endnote.
Endnotes are single-spaced with double-spaced between. Each first footnote or endnote entry must include the authors name, the title, the source or publisher, and the date of publication. Entries from a book or periodical must include page numbers. (Omit portions of this information only if it is not available.)
Use quotation marks around titles of works that are published within other works, such as chapter titles of books, articles in periodicals, and essays within other works. All punctuation must be enclosed within the quotation marks. Single quota- tion marks are used for a quotation within the quoted title.
Footnote numbers are placed in superscript, usually at the end of the sentence. If you are referring to a word, place the footnote number directly after the word. If you cite one source multiple times, use ibid or supra after the first citation rather than repeating the full citation.
If you do place a note in the middle of a sentence, for example at the end of a quotation, the number should always come before a dash. Notes should always end with a full stop.
