What are the GPA requirements to be an AFROTC cadet? To be in AFROTC, non-scholarship cadets must have and maintain a minimum CGPA of at least 2.0. Scholarship cadets must have a minimum TGPA of at least 2.5.
To be eligible to join AFROTC, each cadet must meet the following requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college that hosts or has a crosstown agreement with an Air Force ROTC detachment. Be a U.S. citizen after freshman year. Be in good physical condition (cadets must pass the Fitness Assessment)
Students interested in enrolling in ROTC and qualifying for a scholarship must: Be a U.S. citizen. Be between the ages of 17 and under 31 years of age in the calendar year in which you are to be commissioned. Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50; a college GPA of at least a 2.70.
With over 650 Air Force cadets enrolled each fall, we are the largest AFROTC Detachment in the Nation! Texas AMs AFROTC program is also one of the nations oldest, having been established in the early 1920s as one of four Air ROTC units.
For enlisted roles, the required minimum GPA isnt officially stated, but having a solid academic background could be favorable during the recruitment process. If youre setting your sights on the Air Force Academy, aim for a competitive GPA typically above a 3.5.

People also ask

You can leave the AFROTC program (and end your scholarship benefits) any time during the first year of the program. If you leave before the start of your second year, you will not owe the Air Force anything.
Cadets on scholarship must maintain a 2.5 grade point average, and cadets not on scholarship must maintain a 2.0 grade point average. All cadets must be enrolled full time as a student at a college that offers AFROTC classes or has a crosstown agreement with one.
Cadets ebb and flow, some join later in the program, some take longer to finish their degree and take an extra year, but most do not make it through the program. AFROTC is not hard, but it is time consuming and you have to want it to make it through.
