Compatibility Mode means you have opened a document created in a previous version of Office. Power to the Developer!
When you save a PowerPoint (. pptx) file as a PowerPoint 972003 presentation (. ppt) file, PowerPoint automatically runs the Compatibility Checker to identify possible compatibility issues. The Compatibility Checker warns you about any content that may be incompatible with earlier versions of PowerPoint.
PowerPoints Compatibility Mode might also cause some features to be greyed out. Compatibility Mode ensures that presentations can be opened with older versions of PowerPoint, but some newer features may be disabled in the process. To exit Compatibility Mode, go to File Info Convert.
To turn off compatibility mode, simply save the presentation in PowerPoint (. pptx) format. Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
You can check and disable compatibility mode by right-clicking on the VS Code executable, select Properties, and then uncheck the Run this program in compatibility mode option in the Compatibility tab.
