Oregon Revised Statutes 431.925 through 431.955 and Oregon Laws 2013, chapter 411, state that an entity doing business in this state as a tanning facility may not allow a person who is under 18 years of age to use a tanning device that is owned or operated by the entity.
Beginning July 1, 2010, indoor tanning services will be subject to a 10 percent Federal excise tax under the Affordable Care Act. Information regarding the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tanning tax can be found on their website.
You must be licensed as a vendor in the State of Oregon to provide tanning operator training or tanning sales and services. To apply for a State of Oregon vendor license, complete the application and return it to our office.
