What is a post entry correction?

A PSC allows the trade to electronically correct entry summary data presented to and accepted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection through ACE. The trade is responsible for submitting a PSC.

Which entry type is not eligible to be corrected by filing a post-summary correction?

Type 11 informal entries are NOT eligible for post summary corrections. The PSC will replace the existing entry summary as a new version of the entry summary on file with CBP and will be processed through existing validations including Census warnings.

When should a post summary correction be filed?

PSC filers can submit these changes within 300 days from the date of entry and up to 15 days of the scheduled liquidation date, whichever date is earlier. If PSCs are filed outside the specified timeframes, ACE will automatically reject it.
