Late Withdrawal: to withdraw from a course after the withdrawal deadline (i.e., the fourteenth week of the semester). If your petition is approved, you will be withdrawn from the course and the course will appear on your transcript with a W. Remove W: to remove the W from the transcript.
The Add/Drop is the period at the beginning of each semester during which students can drop courses from their schedule and/or add new ones without penalty. There is no added financial cost, and courses dropped will not appear on the transcript; they simply go away.
Generally, students may add courses through the second week of classes and drop courses online through the fifth week of classes without receiving a W on their transcript. Please note: Students only have the first week of class to add or change their Writing or Foreign Language section, regardless of level.
