IDHS' Child Care Assistance Program provides low-income, working families with access to affordable, quality child care that allows them to continue working and contributes to the healthy, emotional and social development of the child.
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) helps families that are homeless, working, searching for work or in school find low-income child care assistance. Families that are enrolled in the Colorado Works Program can also use CCCAP services.
To become eligible, your family's monthly gross income must not be more than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) (Wisconsin Shares Co-Payment Schedule ). After you have been determined eligible, you can remain financially eligible until your income reaches 85% of the state median income.
The entire process can take as long as 30 days. Call 309-205-3070 Option 2 to speak to a CCAP Eligibility Specialist for more payment information or call (800) 804-3833 for IDHS payment availablility (IDHS payment line information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
You must contact your local Department of Children and Family Services to obtain an appication and submit it for processing. no fee is charged to get a child care license. you are expected to provide a safe and healthy home environment with adequate equipment and space. must be at least 18 years of age.
