Disabled Veterans can fly Space Available Flights Better known as Space-A or military hops, Air Mobility Command (AMC) maintains an extensive network of flights throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Islands, Guam and American Samoa.

Authorized disabled veterans can travel in the continental United States (CONUS) or directly between CONUS and Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Islands, Guam and American Samoa. Disabled veterans must have a DD Form 2765, Defense Department ID Card (Tan), in order to fly Space-A.

In addition, civilians are eligible for Space-A under Emergency conditions (sample Letter available at ). In both cases (EML and Emergency) CONUS-to-CONUS travel is not authorized. Dependents using EML unaccompanied by their sponsor would travel CAT-IV.
