RTC-OnDemand is ride-share service offering flexible routing and scheduling for both transit and certified paratransit customers in West Henderson and the Southwest Valley. RTC-OnDemand links passengers to various destinations drop-off choices with options to transfer to bus routes.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires public transit agencies that provide fixed route service to provide complementary paratransit service to people with disabilities who cannot use the fixed route bus or rail service because of a disability.
2) Service area (geographic area of service) ADA complementary paratransit service must be provided within mile on either side of each fixed route as well as a -mile radius at the end of each fixed route, and within a -mile radius of rail stations.
Examples of individuals who would qualify under this category include those with intellectual, cognitive, vision, or psychiatric disabilities who cannot independently navigate the fixed route system for some or all of their trips. A person with a disability who requires an accessible vehicle when one is not available.
Paratransit services are for: People who cannot use fixed route transit systems or navigate them on their own because of physical or cognitive disabilities. Non-ADA senior citizens 65 years and older who have no other means of travel.
