A C100 Form is the form you need to complete to ask for a family court to make a judgement under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989. In other words, you are asking a court to make a decision on the parenting arrangements for your child(ren).
In most cases, it will take around six to eight weeks from when you first apply for the preliminary court hearing (step 4 above) to take place. When CAFCASS has to produce a report, it will normally need about 12 weeks to do so.
To reach a final decision the proceedings can take around 26 weeks, sometimes longer (with the agreement of the presiding Judge).
