You also must accumulate a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer or work experience in that same sector, preferably in a teaching or outreach capacity.
Its a very competitive program. Like DeathStar said, its roughly a 23% rate of those who apply end up serving. You also need a bachelors degree or five years of relevant experience and consider the fact that everyone who applies meets those criteria, its again down to the better candidates.
Applicants may be disqualified for service because their background or history discloses a substantial connection with an intelligence activity or related work other than through employment. Even family relationships with an employee of an intelligence agency may be considered a disqualifying connection.
