How much does it cost to be an Honor Flight guardian?
If you want to be a guardian either for a family member or as a volunteer guardian please submit a Guardian Application. We recognize that the guardian cost can be a challenge. Guardians frequently docHub out to family and friends to contribute to the cost of the trip.
How do you become a guardian on an Honor Flight?
No funding is received from the government. Guardians pay a $500 guardian donation each for the honor of escorting a veteran to Washington DC.
Who pays for the Guardian on Honor Flight?
This is a policy followed by all Honor Flight hubs. The only spouses who are permitted to go are those who are Veterans themselves. These trips are dedicated to our Veterans and with limited space, we must ensure that every available resource is allocated to their accommodation.
How do you become a guardian for an Honor Flight?
Guardian Application Each Honor Flight veteran is assigned a guardian. To serve as a guardian, you must complete this application and attend guardian training. Guardians must also pay the guardian fee. Guardians must be between age 18 and 70 on flight date to be eligible.
