Managing Medical and Obstetric Emergencies and Trauma Training (mMOET) This 2-day course provides a high-level structured approach to recognition, resuscitation and treatment of medical emergencies and trauma in those with the altered physiology and anatomy of pregnancy.
Overall Course Objectives Improve the management of normal deliveries, as well as obstetrical emergencies by standardizing the skills of emergency personnel, first responders and medical, nursing and physician assistant students.
Overview. Course Director: Kyja Stygar, M.D. This one-day educational program covers topics in safety, first trimester complications, late pregnancy bleeding, intrapartum fetal surveillance, assisted vaginal delivery, preterm labor, PPH/maternal resuscitation, labor dystocia, shoulder dystocia and case presentations.
