A day, as defined by the regulations, is 8 hours of watch-standing or day-working, not to include overtime. Only on vessels of less than 100 gross registered tons (GRT): Credit for a full day will only be given for service of 4 hours or more (See 46 CFR 10.107, definition of Day).
The centre of gravity of the ship is commonly denoted as point G or CG. When a ship is at equilibrium, the centre of buoyancy is vertically in line with the centre of gravity of the ship.
What form do you use to record sea service time for the USCG? To document your experience on the water, use the Small Vessel Sea Service Form (CG-719S) and record, to the best of your recollection, the number of days that you were on the water in any given month and year.
The Masters license, available in 25, 50, or 100-ton versions, enables the holder to perform the OUPV duties, along with operating inspected vessels up to 25, 50, or 100 GRT (based on the Masters you were issued).
To document service aboard vessels of less than 200 GRT: Applicants may use the CG 719-S (Small Vessel Sea Service Form) or they may submit a letter which includes the same information required on the Small Vessel Sea Service Form.

Yes, you will need to provide proof of ownership for every vessel you are submitting to the USCG if you own the boat. The USCG will only accept sea time that is accompanied with proof of ownership. If you are attesting to your own sea time on your own boats, make sure to sign both parts of section III of the 719S form.
