2) Regular Member Applicant Questionnaire (RMAQ) In the second part of the RCMP Suitability Interview, the Regular Members Applicant RMAQ examines your past actions and behaviours to determine if any could hinder you from becoming an RCMP officer.
While the U.S. has no federal uniformed law enforcement agency with general authority (but nearly 100 specialty agencies including many uniformed forces), Canada has no national investigative agency like the US FBI, although the RCMP has investigative staff.
This stage assesses whether you possess the core competencies, core values, and traits required of an RCMP police officer. This stage consists of two components: the Attribute Evaluation Interview. the Regular Member Applicant Questionnaire ( RMAQ )
You will be asked about the following topics during a typical police polygraph or CVSA: Shoplifting or theft of money or merchandise from employer. Illegal drug trafficking or dealing. Illegal drug or medication use, including steroids. Use of alcohol. Falsification or minimization in your requested information.
2) Regular Member Applicant Questionnaire (RMAQ) Interview: Here, an RCMP suitability/ recruiting member will review your RMAQ information with you, serving the purpose of: Gaining a deeper understanding of your character. Evaluating the severity, recency, frequency of negative past actions or behaviours.
