What is the difference between Irata and sprat?

IRATA membership is exclusive to rope access companies that undergo an application and audit procedure. This means that IRATA operations and training are offered only by member companies whose program is regularly audited and reviewed to assure quality. SPRAT does not assure the quality of their member companies.

What is rope access safety?

Rope access: A means of access by descending or ascending a main line while the worker is protected by a safety line. Rope access also includes the use of climbing and aid climbing techniques with fall protection.

How long to get level 3 rope access?

The IRATA Level 3 rope access course is undertaken over five days, with a four-day training period followed by a one-day assessment. All training and testing occurs under the watch of an IRATA Level 3 technician. Click here for pricing information on an IRATA certification.

What qualifications do you need for rope access?

In order to become a Rope Access Level 1 practitioner, you need to start with basic training such as Fall Arrest Technician Level 1 training, and as an entry requirement you need a valid medical certificate.

How much is rope access training in Cape Town?

The IRATA level 1 training is a total of 6 consecutive days - 1 day refresher, 4 days training, 1 day independent assessment. Cost of the course is R10,500 per person excluding VAT.
