If this allowance does not meet your medical needs, please contact SDGE at 1-800-411-7343 to discuss additional amounts.

Does SDGE pay you for solar power?

California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) SDGEs CARE program can save you 30% or more on your bill. Must be 55+; Some stores only offer senior discounts on certain days. Discounts vary based on location and specific store. Must be 55+ or an AARP Member; Available once per month in-store and for one week per month online.

How to get a discount on sdge bill?

To receive the CARE discount, you must already participate in certain public assistance programs or meet the income guidelines. If you do not qualify for the CARE program, we will automatically check to see if you qualify for FERA, which provides an 18% monthly discount on electric use for families of three or more.
