What cars qualify for ULEZ exemption?

What cars are exempt from ULEZ? A diesel car that meets Euro 6 standards. A petrol car that meets Euro 4 standards. Is a full-electric car. Hybrid cars and mild hybrids must meet Euro 4 or 6 depending on their engine type.

How do I know I have to pay ULEZ?

If you drive within the zone, you'll have to pay by midnight on the third day following the journey. Fail to pay on time and you risk getting a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). To see if and what you need to pay, check your vehicle.

Do you have to pay Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone?

We prefer that your vehicle meets the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) standards so you don't need to pay the charge. If you do need to pay, charging days run from midnight to midnight, every day of the year (except Christmas Day).

What year car qualifies for ULEZ?

Petrol cars that meet the ULEZ standards are generally those first registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standards have been available since 2001. Diesel cars that meet the standards are generally those first registered with the DVLA after September 2015.

Can you get a ULEZ discount?

Some showman's vehicles are eligible for a 100% discount from the ULEZ daily charge if they are registered to a person following the business of a travelling showman and have been modified or specially constructed.
