You cannot use Conditional Formatting when you are in Group Mode. To ungroup worksheets, click on the tab of a sheet thats not in the group. This will immediately takes you out of group mode. If all the sheets in the workbook are grouped together, right-click on any of the grouped sheet tabs and click Ungroup Sheets.
On the Home tab, click Conditional Formatting New Rule. In the Style box, click Classic. Under the Classic box, click to select Format only top or bottom ranked values, and change it to Use a formula to determine which cells to format.
In this article, you will see five different types of conditional formatting in Excel. These types are- Highlight Cells Rules, Top and Bottom Rules, Data Bars, Color Scales, and Icon Sets.
They are grouped into three categories: Data Bars are horizontal bars added to each cell, much like a bar graph. Color Scales change the color of each cell based on its value. Each color scale uses a two- or three-color gradient.
To conditionally format your data, you can utilize preset rules such as Color Scales, Data Bars and Icon Sets or create custom rules where you define when and how the selected cells should be highlighted.
Create a custom conditional formatting rule Select the range of cells, the table, or the whole sheet that you want to apply conditional formatting to. On the Home tab, click Conditional Formatting. Click New Rule. Select a style, for example, 3-Color Scale, select the conditions that you want, and then click OK.
How to insert cell content to the shape Select the shape or text box. In the formula bar, type the equal (=) symbol. Click the spreadsheet cell that contains the data or text you want to insert into the selected shape or text box. You can also type the reference to the spreadsheet cell. Press Enter.
How to Color Cell Based on Value in Excel/Spreadsheet Open the worksheet in Spreadsheets (WPS Office) which contains the desired data and select the data in which you want to color different cells. Click on the Conditional Formatting button in the Home Tab. Select New Rule and then select Format only cells that contain.
