Oh howdy folks welcome back for another feature Friday Im your host Ryan Glover and this week were gonna be focused on a very tiny feature so one of my hands-down favorite things to do in an interface is to automate the height of an input and specifically a text area so one of the things youll see in a UI is you have a text area input so thats the multi-line input where you can type in a few paragraphs of text but often something that a lot of developers leave out is they wont make that input expand with the height of your content and unfortunately browsers arent designed to automatically do this for you so what Im going to teach you in this feature Friday is how to build that automatic resizing feature into your input and it sounds like something thats really complicated but its actually quite easy once you see what the solution is so what were gonna do is write a reusable function and we can attach that to the instance of an input in our UI or a text area in our UI and as

You can either use the width and height properties to change the radio buttons size or you can also use the transform property with the scale() function. Both methods can increase or decrease the radio buttons size.
The button drawable can also get noticeably pixelated the larger you go, so its not really great if you want something 3x larger and adding android:textSize=[size]sp will scale the radio button label too , but matching the button and label size needs some more hard code
It can be done but is not as simple as setting the LayoutWidth and Layoutheight as with EditTexts, Buttons etc. To modify the size/looks of a view like a checkbox/radio button use the Background and Button properties to specify your own drawables.
We can use the transform property with the scale() function to increase or decrease the size of a radio button. The scale() function is a 2D transformation function which is used to resize an element by specifying a scaling factor. The scaling factor decides how much the element should be scaled.
