Fit to one page Click Page Layout. Click the small Dialog Box Launcher on the bottom right. Select the Page tab in the Page Setup dialog box. Select Fit to under Scaling. To fit your document to print on one page, choose 1 page(s) wide by 1 tall in the Fit to boxes. Press OK at the bottom of the Page Setup dialog box.
In Table Tools click the [Layout] tab locate the Cell Size group and choose from of the following options: To fit the columns to the text (or page margins if cells are empty), click [AutoFit] select AutoFit Contents. To fit the table to the text, click [AutoFit] select AutoFit Window.

If you dont want AutoFit to automatically adjust your table or column width, you can turn it off. Select your table. On the Layout tab, in the Cell Size group, click AutoFit. Click Fixed Column Width.
Adjust column widths on a page On the Page Layout or Layout tab, click Columns. In the Columns dialog box, adjust the settings under Width and spacing to choose your column width and the spacing between columns. If you want columns of varying widths, deselect the checkbox next to Equal column width.
Set AutoFit Window On the Table Tools: Layout ribbon, click AutoFit, then AutoFit Window.
Resize rows, columns, or cells On the Layout tab, you can specify the custom height and width. To resize specific rows or column, click on a cell and then adjust the row/column. To make multiple rows or columns the same size, select the columns or rows and click Distribute Rows or Distribute Columns.
