Word automatically determines where each page of a document should begin and end by inserting automatic page breaks. As you create and edit multipage documents, you might find that you need to manipulate the automatic page breaks.
View page breaks Select the row that is underneath the row where you want the page to break. Select the column that is to the right of the column where you want the page to break. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks, and then click Insert Page Break.
To start a new page, from the Insert menu, select Break, and then choose Page Break. If prompted, select an orientation (Portrait or Landscape) for your page.
Change page break settings Select Layout. In the Paragraph group, select the small arrow. In the Paragraph dialog box, select Line and Page Breaks.
Page Break On the Insert tab, in the Pages group, click Page Break: On the Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks, and then click Page: Press Ctrl+Enter.
Scroll down until you see the Page Layout options (Compatibility Options in Word 2019 and Word in Office 365). It is at the very bottom of the dialog box; you may need to click the arrow at the left side of the options to see them all. Make sure the Split Apart Page Break and Paragraph Mark check box is selected.
Click the worksheet that you want to modify. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. on the status bar. To move a page break, drag the page break to a new location.
Use Paragraph Line and Page Breaks Select the paragraph(s) that you want to format. Click the Layout tab. Click the Paragraph groups dialog box launcher. Click the Line and Page Breaks tab. Use the options to set your formatting. Click OK.
On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. on the status bar. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks. Click Reset All Page Breaks.
Insert page breaks On your computer, open a spreadsheet at sheets.google.com. At the top, click File. Print. Click Set custom page breaks. Drag the lines to where the page should break. Each rectangle will print on its own page. When youre done, click Confirm breaks.
