reindex() Method is used for changing the data on the basis of indexes.
Use pandas DataFrame. astype() function to convert column to int (integer), you can apply this on a specific column or on an entire DataFrame.
To change the type of a DataFrames index in Pandas, use the DataFrame. index. astype(~) method.
You can convert or cast pandas DatetimeIndex to String by using pd. todatetime() and DatetimeIndex. strftime() functions. Pandas DatetimeIndex class is an Immutable ndarray which is used to store datetime64 data (internally stores as int64).
To convert a float data type to an integer in Python, use the int() function. This function removes the fractional component of the float, also known as the mantissa, during the conversion. This conversion leads to some data loss.
To change the type of a DataFrames index in Pandas, use the DataFrame. index. astype(~) method.
Use DataFrame.resetindex() function We can use DataFrame. resetindex() to reset the index of the updated DataFrame. By default, it adds the current row index as a new column called index in DataFrame, and it will create a new row index as a range of numbers starting at 0.
To change the index values we need to use the setindex method which is available in pandas allows specifying the indexes.Syntax inplace parameter accepts True or False, which specifies that change in index is permanent or temporary. True indicates that change is Permanent. False indicates that the change is Temporary.
