PDF file handling options If you prefer to use another PDF viewer, like docHub, you can change the default PDF viewer. Go to Options Applications, then find the listing for Portable Document Format (PDF). Under the Action column, youll see that its set for Preview in Firefox.
This is the default setting. When you click a link to a PDF file or open it from the Firefox Downloads panel, it will be rendered with the built-in PDF viewer. (To learn more about the built-in viewer, see below.) The built-in PDF viewer will open the PDF file in Firefox without saving it.
How do I stop my PDFs from opening in Firefox? In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences. In the General panel, go down to the Applications section. Within the list, look for Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list.

Make sure that you havent disabled the builtin Firefox PDF Viewer and that the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) is set to Preview in Firefox.
Type about:preferences in the Firefox Address Bar. This will bring up options. On the General Page, scroll down to Applications. To the right of Portable Document Format (PDF) select the drop down and choose docHub.
In the General panel, go down to the Applications section. Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click the entry to select it. Click the arrow under the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use from the drop-down menu.
Steps to enable Acrobat Create PDF extension in Firefox Launch Mozilla Firefox. On Windows, click the Alt key to bring up the Firefox menu bar. On Mac OS, its already there. Go to Tools - Add-ons.
