hows it going guys my name is DOM and today I want to talk about the pre-formatted text element in HTML otherwise known as the pre tag so the pre tag allows you to basically preserve all the extra whitespace that might be inside your HTML element so for example lets first just to find a normal regular div tag and put some text inside it so well type out how is it going hows it going and then two taps then well just say something like D codes then press enter on a new line and write something else now if we save this go in the browser and refresh we see that the text is basically just collapsed and all the extra whitespace the new line and the tabs theyre all disappeared so the HTML basically just says yep this is the default behavior its going to get rid of all that extra stuff however using the pre tag instead will preserve all that you know information or or that formatting lets change this div into pre and thatll be PRT and well close that off pyaari again now if we save

Some examples of empty tags are img, embed, area, meta, link, etc. The empty elements are those elements of HTML that cannot have some content like text or child element inside them. There is no need to specify the closing tag, and the opening tag should end with / instead of .
In the very first version of HTML, the P tag was an empty tag like BR. Some references and books still claim that this is the case. However, HTML 2.0 defines the P tag as a container, and there is no difference between a paragraph with and one without explicit alignment.
2) The input element is empty. It contains attributes only. There is no need of an end tag in HTML. 3) If you want to define labels for input element, use the label element with each input tag.
Void tags are HTML tags that do not need a closing tag. An example of a void tag would be the tag. Void tags are also referred to as self-closing tags. Brian demonstrates void tags by introducing the tag which is used to display images.
