The initial is a marking on the end of the page. For physical documentation, it is done by ink. Much like a signature, the initial is not something generic but rather, exclusive to the individual using it. Its a small personalisation to acknowledge you have read the page and agreed to the terms on it.
Recipients will still receive reminders to sign the envelope until it is voided or until it expires. You can delete an envelope that is completed when it has been signed by all parties and is complete. You can delete an envelope that has been voided by the sender who has cancelled the envelope.
Once you have signed a document, the envelope continues on to the next recipient for signature, which is why you cannot unsign it. The only individuals who can revise your signature are the Sender or a Recipient who is the Allow to Edit Recipient Type in the envelope settings.
Initials are the capital letters which begin each word of a name. For example, if your full name is Michael Dennis Stocks, your initials will be M. D. S.
Navigate to the content you want to erase, click and drag the eraser across it and then click OK. You can also delete content of any dimensions.
This is a method used for accepting a document before authorized persons submit a binding signature. An initial is most often used for the companys internal circulation of documents and is ranked lower than the electronic signature. Only recipients that the sender indicates can initial documents.
Note: You cannot unvoid an envelope. Once you void an envelope, or if a signer refuses to sign, which voids the envelope, there is no way to reactivate the transaction. Your only options are to create a copy of the voided envelope and start the transaction over again, or create a new envelope from scratch.
The document status will show Declined if it was cancelled by a recipient. The status will be Void if the document was cancelled by the document holder or docHubed the expiration period.
Because your signature identifies you, it should be consistent. It doesnt have to be your full name unless youre specifically trying to match a previous authorized signature. You can choose to use just your initials instead, as one example.
Voiding a document cancels all outstanding signing activities. Once you void a document, recipients can no longer view or sign it.
