good to everyone youre watching ray tube on todays video Im going to show you how to insert a date and time or maybe a slide number in PowerPoint 2016 if you like this video make sure you hit the like button now lets get started now I have created about a slides for slides in my powerpoint presentation I want to insert maybe a date and time or a slide number or a full tour lets see how it works so in order to do that you will have to click on the insert tab at the top left corner of your screen under the text option you will have to click on header and footer or you can select this option C option here as well so Im going to select header and footer Im going to select date and time so here you have an option if you want automatically to update the date as and when you open the slide you can select select the date automatically and you can also change the formats here from the drop down menu if you want a fixed date for example todays is the 25th October I can select the state

Create a timeline On the Insert tab, click Smart Art. Pick a timeline layout from the gallery that appears, such as this Basic Timeline in the List section. In the text editor, enter the dates and descriptions, and then press Enter.
You can modify the date created by copying a file. The files created date becomes the modified date and the current date (when the file is copied) becomes the created date. You can copy a file on your PC to check. Let us know if you need further assistance.
It might be deleted by the template creator. In this situation, you need to add a new slider master to it and create slides with the new slide master. Otherwise, the adding Date and Time operation wont work with that slide master. You may also contact the template creator.
When you need to check your spelling or use the thesaurus in PowerPoint, you can use keyboard shortcuts instead of searching through menus. For the spell check feature, press F7. If youre on a laptop, you may also need to hold the Fn (Function) key as you press F7 to activate the shortcut.
Add the date and time In the Header and Footer box, on the Slide tab, select the Date and time check box. Click Update Automatically, and then choose the format you want from the list. Click Fixed, and then type the date and time that you want. Click Apply to All.
To delete the date: Go to File and select Print. At the bottom, click Edit Header and Footer. Even though Date and Time is not selected, it will still print out, so select Date and Time. Choose Fixed, and then delete all the text from the box. Click Apply to All.
On the Insert tab, select Header Footer. On the Slide tab, clear the Footer box. Select Apply to All to remove the footer from all slides in the presentation. Otherwise, select Apply to only remove the footer from the currently selected slide.
