The theory of the Big Five personality traits claims that we can describe ourselves with five main characteristics: open, conscientious, extravert, agreeable, neurotic. Each of us varies in how much of each trait is shown in our personality. In order to understand what each trait really means lets look at these five characters and how they cope after they rank their boat and are stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean. Open Odelia is excited and interested in exploring this beautiful island. The exotic nature inspires her. She has collected stones shells and blossoms to decorate the entrance of the bamboo hut that she built for everyone. She feels this is an opportunity to learn so many new things! Size classes are traits assigned to user interface elements, like scenes or views. These are the groups of screen sizes that are applied to the width and height of the device screen. This is very useful when we want to show the different layout in iPhone and iPad for the same User interface.
Xcode 14 is about 30% percent smaller than Xcode 13. For example, Xcode 13.4. 1 is roughly 10 GB, while Xcode 14 Beta 3 is only 7 GB. watchOS and tvOS are also available as optional SDKs that you can download separately if you are building apps for these platforms.
Trait Variations need to be enabled in the File Inspector tab. After that you can manually add traits by clicking the plus next to a property (itll use the active size class but you can modify it while creating too)
In Summary Add the constraints for the first variation (e.g. regular height). Create a trait variation for their Installed property. Switch the canvas to the new variation (e.g. compact height). Reposition your views for this new layout. Add the constraints specific to this layout variation.
To create constraints select the button and click the Align icon in the auto layout menu. A popover menu will appear, check both Horizontal in container and Vertically in container options to center the button on the screen. Then click the Add 2 Constraints button. Run the application.
To build a layout with constraints that adapt to a change in size class: Add the constraints for the first variation (e.g. regular height). Create a trait variation for their Installed property. Switch the canvas to the new variation (e.g. compact height). Reposition your views for this new layout.

Trait variations (in other words, configuration settings that apply to specific size classes) are configured in two ways. The first option relates to setting size-specific properties such as fonts and colors within the Attributes Inspector panel. Consider, for example, a Label view contained within a storyboard scene.

Using size classes is pretty simple. Every UIView and UIViewController has access to a traitCollection property, which contains both the horizontal and vertical size classes. You can use these when setting up your views to properly lay out for the current display.
