hi im steve friedman with rockstar excel im going to show you an easy way to implement a tagging system in excel heres a list of films with various tags adventures end game is action superhero franchise sequel and marvel frozen 2 is animated sequel kids and disney etc so what if you want to find entries on your list that have a certain tag the simplest way to do this is with a filter and you always want to include extra columns in your filter so lets just go a b c and then select all and put a filter on and if youre not familiar with filters you should check out my video on filters excels easy button which im linking to in the video description and blog post so then you just click on the filter button here and you go to the search bar and lets search for sql and then here this list just shows you anything that has the sql tag and then if you want this in its own list you can just select the rows and copy and lets go ahead and create a new tab and paste and thats it youre don

In the Excel for the web spreadsheet, click the Formulas tab. Next to Calculation Options, select one of the following options in the dropdown: To recalculate all dependent formulas every time you make a change to a value, formula, or name, click Automatic.

Available number formats in Excel Press CTRL + 1 and select Number. Right-click the cell or cell range, select Format Cells , and select Number. Select the small arrow, dialog box launcher, and then select Number.
Fill a column with a series of numbers Select the first cell in the range that you want to fill. Type the starting value for the series. Type a value in the next cell to establish a pattern. Select the cells that contain the starting values. Drag the fill handle.
Replace text or numbers with the Find Replace Press Ctrl+H or go to Home Find Select Replace. In Find what, type the text or numbers you want to find. You can further define your search: In the Replace with box, enter the text or numbers you want to use to replace the search text. Select Replace or Replace All.
