inside your lesson 1 concepts you have a bunch of exercises for lesson 1 but you also have a folder with some RTF files in it so take a look theres a word folder when you open this folder the icon looks a little bit different and the extension is an RTF so what I just want to quickly show you is that I want you to open each one of these files and convert it and what does that mean it means that if someone sent you an older word file like for example from Word 2010 or other if the old files have a docx extension do see the new 2016 files have docx extension so an extra letter on the end and you so if someone gives you an old file you may want to convert it and if you convert it you can use all the tools in or 2016 some of the tools we will be blanked out when you work in an older file but and but dont convert them if youre working on them and have to send them back to your friend because if you change the extension to the doc X they wont be able to open them because they have an old
